For that reason, our specialism is understanding what creates such an unbreakable bond between an artist and fan. That relationship is the foundation of many genres like jazz, electronic, classical, RnB, indie, folk, soul, Indian & Arabic music, and many other soundscapes. Pop music is already a crowded space; WYTS is here to stand up for the genres loved by the ‘music mad’ crowd, not just the masses.

A TRACK RECORD IN MUSIC, ENTERTAINMENT AND TECH

James Fleury is a marketing strategist specialising in music, entertainment & tech, and the founder of creative agency WYTS.

He brings a wealth of experience in record campaigns, concert & festival marketing, scaling music apps and inserting brands into music culture.
 
James founded classical music creative agency Nouvague in 2014, working with the likes of UKF, Decca, Sony Classical, Shift K3y, BOXPARK, London Mozart Players, Tête à Tête Opera & Hani Mitwasi, before heading Strategic Partnerships for Primephonic – the classical music streaming app acquired by Apple Music – driving fan acquisition through 75+ exclusive content partnerships with record labels and artists, including with Grammy Award-winning artists Eric Whitacre, Philip Glass, Joyce DiDonato, Víkingur Olafsson, John Adams, Alison Balsom & Sheku Kanneh-Mason.
 
Upon the acquisition, James joined Dutch music app TicketSwap as Head of Brand Marketing. During his tenure, the app’s registered users grew from 6.5m to over 11 million fans globally, including formally launching the app in the UK, Nordics, Germany, Spain & Brazil.

 

As a producer, he helped launch the LGBTQ+ festival Classical Pride - which featured Oliver Zeffman, the London Symphony Orchestra, Nick Grimshaw, Monet X ChangeThorgy Thor - and has collaborated on activations for The Cat Empire, You Me At Six, Tash Sultana & Frank Turner. He has produced festival activations for brands at some of the world’s leading events, including Sziget, Kendal Calling, Cercle, Junction 2, LWE, DGTL, Kultlab (Into The Woods & Wildeburg) & Amsterdam Dance Event(ADE).
